This newer set of mudpots is quite active - much more so than the old mudpots near Schrimpf and Davis. If you decide to visit, don't get too close - they can severely burn you. Also, watch your step - some people have gotten hurt when the ground beneath their feet has collapsed. Also, if you encounter mud in the middle of the road, turn around - unless you have mud tires, 4WD, and REALLY know how to drive through deep, slippery, and soft mud.
