Thai Police Stop gets me yet again in Thailand. No license, and I don't even have the 500 THB fine to pay for the ticket. A quick call to the wife sorts it out and I'm on my way in about 8 minutes. Police stops are frequent in Thailand for no helmet and no license. In Phuket - it's almost criminal how many times they have police checks - it's daily and at numerous spots in the same day. It's crazy! Good thing is, once you get a ticket by the Thai Police, you can have a free pass for that day for 24 hours. Or maybe it's just until the next day. Can't remember.

I actually thought about it before I drove through town - a route I never take because of the frequent police stops. I figured, NAH, NO WAY. It's 35+ C out here (95°F) and the sun is relentless. I was sure they'd all be sitting in air conditioning sucking down cold drinks.

NOPE. They're all out there in the street. Dressed in their finest blacks. Black long sleeved button down shirts, black slacks, black boots, helmets, and white gloves. It's SUPER HOT OUT THERE and they're DOIN IT!

Unbelievable. Oh well. I was going to eat pizza tonight. I'll have a 70 THB noodle dish called Pad Ceeyu instead.
